Miami Flats Fishing Guide Report| Biscayne Bay Bonefish

Summer is officially over and even though it’s still 90 plus degrees and very humid, the big bonefish should start moving in on the flats of Miami’s Biscayne Bay now this month.

Fall is my favorite time of year to target big bonefish in Biscayne Bay. The water temperature starts to cool off and our bone fishing is world class.

There is no other place in the world where you can consistently target double-digit bonefish then Biscayne Bay.
We have our own little gem right in the heart of Miami and even though it’s been a well kept secret, Miami is up there with the rest of them.

Yes you can go to the Bahamas and catch a bunch of small 1-2 pound bonefish that will eat anything you put in from of them. Or you can test your skills with a fly rod or spinning rod and go after a bonefish of a lifetime in the double-digit class.

We are still catching allot of bonefish between 5 t0 8 pounds, but pretty soon the larger bonefish from 8 to 14 pounds will start showing up. Now is the time to start planning your bonefish trip to South Florida and to get on the best dates possible.
