I was fishing out of Flamingo Everglades National Park Yesterday with Carlos and Nikki from the big apple. After a massive storm the night before, I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to make it out in the morning.
The weather cooperated and so did the fish. The morning started off casting top water at some tarpon from 25-80 pounds. We finally ended up with a nice 25 pounder that did us the favor and spit out the treble hooks right by the boat. We managed some nice redfish in the morning and we had shots at fish all day, but for some reason we couldn’t get them to feed in the afternoon.
all and all it was a good day in Flamingo Everglades National Park.
