Today we fished Biscayne Bay geared up with only fly rods for bonefish and permit. We had a low falling tide in the morning and we got into the some nice tailing bonefish first thing. We managed two bonefish up two eight pounds with several other shots at double-digit fish.
The rest of the day we concentrated on catching a permit on fly. We had lots of shots throughout the day and we had many close calls but to takers. This is what keeps us coming back for more. Permit fishing is the most challenging and addictive fish you can target using a fly rod, but once you connect with your first permit on fly.
